How
do I request for a tutor?
You
may fill up the online form,
email
us or contact us at 6583-8344. Top
Is
there any Admin Fee?
We
charge an Admin Fee of $15.00. However, this fee will be waived when you
make the payment of Agency Fee via Funds Transfer within 3 days upon completing
the 1st lesson. Admin Fee is not waived when you require us to collect
the Agency Fee personally at your residence. Top
How
long does SR Edulink take to get me a tutor?
We
will be able to get you a tutor within 24 hours. Our procedure is: When
we receive your assignment, we will email all our tutors. Those who are
interested will respond to us. We will then shortlist the tutor and engage
the best one for you. Top
How
do I pay?
You
may pay via Fund Transfer via ATM Machine, Internet Banking or going to
the bank personally and deposit the amount into our account. We can also
arrange for our despatch to collect the fee personally from you. However,
the Admin Fee of $15.00 will not be waived when arrange this collection.

I
am not too sure who do I pay to for the 1st payment?
The
first payment goes to the Agency. Tutors will only receive their fee on
the 4th week. Please contact us at 6583-8344 if you need more clarifications.

Do
I have to pay any agency's fee to SR Edulink Tuition Agency?
We
charge Agency Fee of 50% of the tuition fee which will be borne by the
tutor. Technically, you do not pay us any Agency Fee. We will collect the
50% of the tutor's fee from you after the 1st lesson. You will then need
to pay the balance 50% to the tutor on the 4th week. (Eg. If your tuition
fee is $200, we will collect $100 after the 1st lesson and the balance
$100 you will pay to the tutor on the 4th week).Top
When
do I have to pay the agency's fee?
You
have to pay the Agency Fee after completed the 1st lesson. If you pay via
Funds Transfer within 3 days after the 1st lesson, the Admin fee of $15.00
will be waived. Top
How
do I verify tutor's qualifications?
We
can arrange for the tutor to bring their educational certificates for you
to verify on the 1st lesson. Top
I
cancelled a lesson due to some reasons. Do I have to pay the tutor for
the lesson cancelled?
It
is ethical that you inform the tutor in advance to cancel a lesson. There
were a few cases in which a student did not inform the tutor and when the
tutor reached the home, there was no one at home. In cases like this, we
will have to count that as one lesson done as the tutor has made
the journey to your place. You will have to pay for that session. Top

have some financial problems and thus I postpone lessons for the month
so that I can bring forward payment to the next month.
It
has come to our attention that some parents/ students postpone lessons
so that payment can be done on the following month. Tutors deserve their
fee every month. Tuition fees will have to be made on the 4th week even
though the number of lessons conducted are lesser that the aggreement.
Eg. As per agreement, there should be 8 lessons within 4 weeks. However,
due to some cancellations, there are only 6 lessons. You will have to pay
the tutor for the 6 lessons conducted on the 4th week. And start fresh
on the following week. Top
I
contacted SR Edulink to engage a tutor. But at the same time, I contacted
5 other agencies to find me one.
We
had many cases in which parents/ students contacted a few agencies to engage
a tutor. They then chose the agency who could offer the lowest fee. You
are not obligated to engage a tutor from us but in any case if you come
back to us and requested us to search for another tutor, we will have to
charge the Admin Fee for the previous service and as well for the current
service. It is ethical that you engage one agency at a time. Top

will only engage an agency who offers me the lowest fee.
We
have received a number of calls from parents/ students saying that they
will only engage an agency who can offer the lowest tuition fee. We would
like to emphasize that we are tuition agency and not a tuition centre.
We do not control the tuition fee. Tutors have the right to accept or deny
any assignments. We do receive unreasonable requests from parents/ student.
Quoting an example: A parent would like to engage an undergraduate tutor
but is only willing to pay $10 an hour. Logically, if you are an
undergraduate, will you accept a job which offers you $10 an hour? Currently,
part-time house cleaning ladies are charging $10 an hour for a min 3 hours
per job. If you pay a tutor $10 an hour, that will work out to be $15 per
1.5 hr session. An undergraduate will not accept such assignment considering
the qualification, time, effort and transportation. And if such tutor
does accept the assignment out of desperation, once he/ she is offered
another assignment with a higher fee, he/ she will immediately stop your
assignment and go for the higher one. This is why we received many calls
from parents/ students telling us that they have to keep on changing tutors.
If an agency can offer you such fee, pls ensure that the qualification
of the tutor is as said.
We
also had a parent who informed us that an agency she called kept on reducing
the tuition fee from $160 to $60 when she said she had to consider before
confirming. She became suspicious of the way the agency handled the situation
and labelled it 'Pasar Malam Agency'. SR Edulink had since sourced for
her a tutor and she was happy and even recommended her friends to us.
We
would like to highlight to parent that we provide honest and reliable services.
We are honest about our tutors' qualifications and experience. We do not
request our tutors to lie about their qualifications and experience. Our
tutors are and may be our clients in future too. They may need to engage
tutors for their children and relatives. Many of our tutors have recommended
friends and relatives to us. Our reputation is very important to us. So
you can rest assured that SR Edulink will always provide a good, honest
and reliable services. Top
The
tutor whom the agency recommended suggested that I deal direct with him/
her and offered me a discount on the tuition fee.
We
had a case in which the parent decided to deal direct with the tutor. After
a month, the parent called us and informed us that she was having problems
with the tutor. Our record showed that she decided not to engage the tutor
from us. Thus we are not able to assist her and that she will have to deal
direct with the tutor or make a police report against the tutor. We encourage
parents/ students to not deal direct with tutors as the agency will not
be able to assist in case any problems arise. Please take note that we
will no longer provide you any services in future should you need to engage
a new tutor. But if we decide to make an acception and source for a tutor
for you, you will be charged admin fee for the earlier service which you
cancelled and the agency fee for that assignment which is rightfully ours.

Individuals
claiming that they are from SR Edulink Tuition Agency
We
received a few feedback from parents saying that they received phone calls
from individuals who claimed that they are from SR Edulink just so that
they can close the assignments with the parents. We take this matter very
seriously and will not hesitate to take legal actions against agencies/
individuals who pose as our consultants. We appreciate if you could provide
us as much information on these individuals/ agencies. Please email
us their name and contact numbers or contact us at 6583-8344 so that we
can proceed with the necessary actions.
We
encourage parents/ students to check on the agencies you would like to
engage. Do ensure that the agency is registered with ACRA.

How
do I register as a tutor?
You
can register by clicking here. Please read the
terms and conditions before registering. Top
After
submitting the registration form, I am brought back to the same page. Does
that mean my registration went through?
Yes,
after you have submitted the registration form, you will be brought back
to the same page with an empty form. However it will state 'Entry Added'.
This means that your registration is successful. Top
I
have already registered but I am still not added to your database.
Please
ensure that you complete your registraion fully. We will not add tutors
who do not provide full name, full address, and other details needed. You
will also receive an email invitation from us to be included in our database.
We are having problems adding some email addresses in our main database.
We will then add you in our Yahoo Group which you will also be able to
view available assignments. Please ensure that you subscribe to our invitation.
If you still do not receive an invitation from us, pls click here
to join our Yahoo Group. We will vet your registration via the email address
you used to register before adding you. So, please use the same email you
used to register. Top
How
do I apply for an assignment?
To
apply for an assignment, you will have to SMS the assignment code and the
necessary details needed. Please do not email us to apply for any assignments.

do I submit my info on your website so that parent/ student are able to
view?
After
your registration, you may publish your details to our website by clicking
here.
Please take note that NO Phone numbers/ email addresses are allowed. We
will remove your details and blacklist you should you provide contact details.

Do
I have to pay a commision to the agency?
Yes,
we charge 50% of your tuition fee for the 1st month only. You will receive
the balance 50% of the fee on the 4th week. For subsequent months, you
will collect full fee from parent/ student on the 4th week as per agreement.

Parent/
student want to pay the Agency Fee to me. What should I do?
Some
parents/ students are not too sure on how and who to pay to for the agency
fee. You are not to collect our agency fee on our behalf. You are to inform
parent/ student to contact us directly at 6583-8344. Top
I
am short of money. Can I request and advance payment from parent/ student?
Tutors
are not allowed to collect any advance payment from parent. Top
After
accepting an assignment, I am not able to honour it. What should I do?
You
are to contact the agency 2 days prior to start date. Failure to do so,
you will be liable for the agency fee as the agency may not be able to
source for a replacement on time. Top
I
am not able to complete the 1st month. Can I stop the assignment?
If
you stop within the 1st 2 weeks, you will have to bear the agency fee for
the damage done to our image. If you stop on the 3rd or 4th week, parent/
student has the right to refuse payment to you. Top
Can
I negotiate a higher fee directly with the parent/ student?
No,
you are not allowed to negotiate a higher fee with parent/ student immediately
upon accepting an assignment. You may re-negotiate the fee with parent
if you continue with the assignment the following year. Top
I
am not able to continue with the assignment. Can I recommend my friend
to takeover?
Yes,
you may recommend your friend through us. You are not allowed to recommend
your friend directly to parent/ student. We had cases in which tutors recommend
their friends without informing the agency. And when parents had problems,
we are not able to assist as the current tutor was not registered. You
will blacklisted immediately when this case come to our attention. Top
I
am tempted to deal direct with the parent. I will offer them a discount
if they inform the agency that they decided not to engage a tutor from
the agency.
You
are not allowed to deal direct with parent/ students. SR Edulink has very
good rapport with parents/ students. Many of them are repeat clients and
recommended. Our clients are mostly through words of mouth. We have parents/
students calling us to inform that the tutors we recommended offered them
discounts to deal direct. We will immediately cancel the assignment with
you and engage another tutor for the parent/ student. You will be blacklisted
from future assignments. Top
I
would like to recommend my current student to your agency.
You
may contact us at 6583-8344 or email us. Terms: The student who you recommend
should be from from our agency. This means that you get that assignment
from another agency or you are recommending your friends and relatives.
You will receive a commission ranging from 20% - 50%. Please contact us

Agencies
kept calling to check on our rates on daily basis
We
have some agencies which kept on calling us on daily basis to check on
our rates. We would like to highlight that SR Edulink's fee is quite standard.
So if you have done your research and have already found out our fees,
you do not have to contact us daily, after each calls you receive. We receive
your calls too often that we are very familiar with your voices, enquires,
ever-changing names and contact numbers. We provide good services to our
clients which is why they are loyal to us. We do not bring down our fee
so that the fee is lower than yours just to close an assignment. Parents/
students tend to come back to us because they know that we provide good
customer services. Top
